Join the Orange County Animal Shelter Coalition's Lake Forest July 4th Parade entry. This is a wonderful opportunity to get out the SCAS's message of support for a pro-humane animal shelter in South Orange County.

Bring your family, friends, and of course your pooch to one of Orange County's best pet friendly events! Transportation will be provided to keep them from getting hot paws in the July heat.

Parade starts at 10:00am at the corner of Toledo Way & Ridge Route (in front of El Toro High School) and ends at the corner of Lake Forest Drive & Serrano Way (Heritage Hill Historical Park.)

Irvine's 3rd Annual Super Pet Adoption Event

The Irvine Animal Care Center will be hosting its third Orange County Super Adoption Event on July 26th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 40 pet rescue groups will bring over 400 homeless dogs and cats, in addition to the shelter’s several hundred.

There will be a child’s bouncy house and activity area, a food court, more than 30 vendors, a silent auction and raffle, low-cost microchips, and an "Ask the Vet" and "Ask the Trainer" booth where event attendees can get free expert advice on pet medical and behavioral issues. Snoopy will also be greeting the guests and passing out discount coupons for Knott’s Berry Farm, who has donated a large gift basket for the silent auction.

Fullerton's Dog Days of Summer

If your pooch kisses like there’s no tomorrow, eats like he has just gotten off a diet, or stirs up a hurricane when he wags his tail, the Fullerton Museum Center would like to have a talk with you.

Dogs of all shapes, sizes and talents are being sought for the museum’s annual “Dog Days of Summer” talent show and competition.

The pet friendly event will be held at the outdoor Fullerton Market, located on Wilshire Avenue, between Harbor Boulevard and Pomona Avenue. Doggie competitions and entertainment will be held from 5-8 p.m.;the market runs from 4-8:30 p.m.

Owners may sign their dogs up for the competitions the day of the event. In addition to the competitions, a variety of dog- and pet-related groups and services will sponsor booths at the event.

Huntington Beach's 11th Annual Walk for the Animals Date - TBA

12th Annual Walk for the Animals

HUNTINGTON BEACH…The Orange County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OCSPCA), with supporting sponsors, is proud to announce the 12th Annual 5K/2K Walk for the Animals. This pet friendly event will be Saturday, September 14th at 9:00am in Central Park East (Goldenwest & Talbert Avenues behind the Central Library) in Huntington Beach. Emceeing the walk will be Maryanne Dell, pet columnist for the Orange County Register. Well-mannered dogs, on leashes, are encouraged to attend. Please no puppies under six months.

Activities following this pet friendly event include:

~ Entertainment by Disc Dogs in Southern California

~ Free T-shirts, Doggie Scarves & Goodie Bags to the first 350 registrants

~ Sponsor and Vendor booths

~ Silent auction and door prizes and lots more fun!

All funds raised from the Walk help support the organization’s programs including veterinary care for sick and injured animals; subsidized spay/neuter, feral cat rescue; cruelty prevention through humane education in the classroom; and pet-assisted therapy. Over 500 participants enjoyed last year’s festivities.

Registration is $20.00 before September 1st and $25.00 thereafter. Kids 12 years and under, free. Teams of five or more pay $15.00 each if pre-registered by September 1st. Neighborhood Congregational Church of Laguna Beach Blessing of the Animals

NCC’s Annual Blessing of the Animals will be held in NCC’s Gregory Courtyard on Saturday, December 6th, at 2 PM. This much-anticipated Laguna Beach event will feature the traditional blessing of pets by the new senior Minister the Rev. B.J. Beu, assisted by Certificate of Ministry Studies graduate Ruth Ann Krisa, who is the event coordinator.

Professional pet photography and an array of pet supplies and services will be featured. Proceeds benefit the ARK of San Juan Capistrano.

Each year the Walk brings together thousands of fun-loving people into the Village of Corona del Mar for entertainment, food, prizes and games in true holiday spirit. Complete with High School bands, Fireman's BBQ, carolers, bouncy houses, Santa Visits restaurant tasting & a grand opportunity drawing full of local prizes. The merchants of Corona del Mar invite you and your pooch to visit the village and their individual businesses on this spectacular day!

The Irvine Animal Care Center is excited to host its third annual Home for the Holidays adoption event. More than 20 rescue groups will bring about 500 homeless dogs, cats & rabbits. Santa Claus will also be available for photos with children and pets. There will be vendors, food, a raffle, bake sale & much more. It will be a fun and festive pet friendly event for the entire family!

California's largest and one of the nation's most well established Holiday boat parades...the Newport Harbor Christmas Boat parade. The boat parade sees over 100 illuminated vessels cruise through the harbor of Newport Beach, CA.
